EAST MEADOW, NY — After New York Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello made roster moves on Saturday, head coach Patrick Roy used Matt Martin and Pierre Engvall on the fourth line with Kyle MacLean down the middle against the Florida Panthers .
The line barely played until the game was out of reach.
Now, heading into Tuesday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks , Roy is going with a new look.
In comes Hudson Fasching for Matt Martin:
While we only just learned this on Saturday from Lamoriello, Fasching suffered an off-season injury and wasn’t 100 percent when training camp rolled around.
He then suffered a lower body in their preseason game against the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden before hitting waivers on Oct. 6.
In five games with the Bridgeport Islanders, Fasching had one goal and one assist.
Martin, who signed a one-year deal after beginning the season, played 9:45 on Saturday night.
