PHOENIX – A dog rescued from a Valley canal in June has recently found a new forever home. Dorothea, a 10-year-old Chihuahua mix, was spotted by a Good Samaritan floating on a shopping cart in a canal. The Phoenix Fire Department and Arizona Humane Society were dispatched out to the scene and used a ladder to safely remove Dorothea from the canal.
