A suspect is in custody after a fatal hit and run in Pickens County. The crash happened around 11PM Friday night on Farrs Bridge Road. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the suspect 25 year old, Jose Brito-Ruiz crashed his vehicle into an ATV.
The driver of the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene. He’s been identified as 37 year old, Kyle Thornall of Easley. Brito-Ruiz originally fled the scene, he was later located and taken into custody.
He’s charged with fatal DUI and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
