The Lexington non-profit said someone on a bicycle witnessed the incident and told them, “someone just threw that dog out of a moving vehicle and she ran under your car.”
Paws 4 the Cause said when they tried to approach the vehicle, it was growling and lashing out in an attempt to protect itself.
After initially capturing the dog and leading her behind the fencing, Paws said they called Animal Control, who has since opened an investigation.
