A local police department and an animal shelter partnered for a fundraising event this afternoon.
The Millcreek Police Department and the Erie Humane Society came to Pet Supplies Plus on West Erie Plaza Drive to raise money and collect donations for the animal shelter.

The humane society is particularly looking for cat food and kitty litter but any donations are welcome.
The donation drive comes after the humane society donated Tucker, the PTSD service dog to the police department.

One officer said the golden retriever has been doing an amazing job so far.
“They’ve done such a great service for us. Tucker…we came across him by chance. He was trained for 18 months after he was surrendered, and they decided along with some of our other officers that he would fit a need for our department,” said Ben Bastow, Millcreek Police Department Station Officer:
