HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – One man is recovering and another is facing charges following an overnight shooting in Owensboro.
Owensboro Police say officers responded to the 2900 block of Fulkerson Drive at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday morning in reference to a shooting.
Officers found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. OPD says a bullet came through the wall and hit him in the legs.
OPD also says neighbor Michael Chavez, 24, admitted to showing off the gun when it went off.
Chavez is being charged with 2nd degree assault, 1st degree wanton endangerment, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
