VIDEO: Alleged chain-snatcher seen picking nose at Queens subway gate

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD is searching for a suspect who they say tried to snatch the chain off a woman’s neck at a subway station in Queens on Sunday morning.

Surveillance video released by the NYPD on Monday shows the young suspect picking his nose repeatedly as he holds open a subway exit gate.

The 36-year-old victim was exiting the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street station in Jackson Heights around 6:20 a.m. when the suspect targeted her, police said.

He tried to rip the chain off her neck, but he was unsuccessful, according to police, who said he fled on foot empty-handed.

The victim was not injured in the attempted chain-snatching, police said.
