Man wanted by Wisconsin police arrested after being shot in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A man wanted by the U.S. Marshals was arrested in Rockford Friday after he was shot in the leg.

According to Rockford Police, Emmanuel Hunter, 28, arrived at a local hospital around 2:40 p.m. with what was described as a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Authorities said the shooting did not occur in Rockford but happened in “another jurisdiction.”

Investigators discovered Hunter was wanted for crimes in Dane County, Wisconsin, and was booked into the Winnebago County Jail pending extradition.
