Through witness testaments, officers say they identified a 16-year-old teenager as a suspect. He was arrested the next day following a shooting in the Santa Rosa Rancheria. The teen was deemed a victim in that separate shooting.
Then on Sunday, officers clarified that the teen was no longer a suspect in the homicide of Avalos, though he remained in custody on suspicion of weapon charges.
On Monday, the Hanford Police Department identified 19-year-old Roman Perdue as the alleged shooter in the black Nissan Versa involved in the death of Avalos.
