Erie, PA ( WJET/WFXP ) — As we head into November, this means the beginning of winter parking rules in the City of Erie.
The annual parking regulations will go into effect on Friday, November 1, and will remain in effect until March 31. This also marks the end of summer parking regulations.
While we have seen warm and fair temperatures moving into the new month, getting into the habit of parking on the correct side is important as we head into the cooler months.
Winter parking regulations are enforced weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on weekends when a snow emergency is declared.
Once snow starts accumulating, these regulations allow snow plows and emergency vehicles to safely travel along the city streets. Those who do not comply with parking rules run the risk of receiving tickets and possibly even having their vehicle towed.
For residential guidelines for Odd-Even: if it is an Odd day you would park on the North or West side of your street, if it is Even you would park on the South or East side of the street. If you live in a cul-de-sac, please try and park in your driveway.
