EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The Diocese of El Paso is offering the El Paso community an opportunity to lay their loved ones to rest this Saturday, Nov. 2, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery as part of All Souls’ Day.
The Diocese says Bishop Mark J. Seitz is offering families who have kept cremated remains of their loved ones to a Rite of Committal on All Souls Day, which lands this Saturday, Nov. 2. The ceremony will take place after the mass, which begins at 10 a.m.
Mt. Carmel Cemetery will be providing burial space for those who have cremated remains of their loved ones so that they will have a “dignified resting place and an opportunity for closure,” the Diocese said.
Families who are interested in bringing the cremated remains of their loved ones for burial arrangements will need to provide necessary documentation by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
