TARRANT COUNTY ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The process of selecting twelve men and women who reside in Tarrant County to serve on the jury in Anthony Patterson’s trial is underway in Fort Worth.

Patterson, 48, of Wichita Falls , stands accused of 13 felony counts of various crimes involving human trafficking and child sex crimes. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
Jury selection began just after 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Tim Curry Criminal Justice Center in downtown Fort Worth, with 78th District Court Judge Meredith Kennedy presiding.
Court officials said the jury pool consists of 150 residents of Tarrant County, and of those 150 members of the jury pool, only 5 did not report for jury duty on Tuesday morning.
Judge Kennedy said 12 jurors and 3 alternates would be chosen at the end of voir dire proceedings. She said she expects testimony in Patterson’s case to last for about two weeks.
