HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Madison Crowell earned more than $15 million in scholarship money after being accepted into 231 schools.
Ultimately, it was a university right here in the Piedmont Triad that received this gifted student’s commitment.
Crowell is thriving in her freshman year at High Point University where she was awarded a full-tuition scholarship.
“It’s been amazing. I’ve made so many new friends. I’ve started to get involved here,” she said.
Crowell is part of the Bonner Leader Program which allows her to express her commitment to service not only on campus but also within the greater High Point community.
“We’re a very diverse group of leaders, and we work here around High Point whether it be the city of High Point, Macedonia, West End Ministries, the Community Writing Center … D-UP is where I personally work … with elementary school kids … middle school kids,” Crowell said.
She says her success is bigger than her personal goals. Crowell wants her accomplishments to encourage youth in her community of Savannah, Georgia.
