Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes opened up about one of the scariest moments of their married life that inspired them to support a cause addressing food allergies.
In a post on Instagram, Patrick Mahomes’ “15 and the Mahomies Foundation” announced that it is launching a program called “15 and FARE” with the Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE).
According to the announcement, the “program will bring FARE’s public health initiative, FARE Neighborhoods, as well as FARE’s Food Allergy Academy training for restaurants and community food banks and pantries, to the Kansas City area.”
Interestingly, the post was accompanied by a video of Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes talking about why addressing food allergies in the US is a cause close to their hearts.
The Mahomes couple shared how important it is for others to understand food allergies and how serious they are, especially since they themselves experienced how scary it can be, especially when it involves kids.
