The Millcreek Police Department has given a new update in their investigation after human remains were found in Walnut Creek last week.
Forensic Pathologist Dr. Luckasevic conducted an autopsy on Oct. 25 and identified the remains as a woman, approximately standing at 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 168 pounds.
There were no signs of traumatic injury or natural disease nor were there signs of scars, marks or tattoos.
Mercyhurst University’s Department of Applied Forensic Sciences is assisting officers in this investigation.
The remains were found by a fisherman around 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 24 in Walnut Creek, behind Elevate Church in the 900 block of Millcreek Mall Blvd.
