Huskers QB Dylan Raiola sticks up for OC Satterfield amid criticism

The Nebraska football team’s offense may not be pretty at times but that’s not on the playcaller, according to the team’s true freshman quarterback.

Dylan Raiola, during the team’s weekly press conferences on Tuesday, spoke up in support of Huskers offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield, saying he’s seen the criticism of his coach in recent weeks.

“Coach Sat gives us the plays to go do it and players we have to go out there and execute it. I know Coach Sat’s getting a lot of heat right now over his plays he’s calling, and I think that’s unfair to him,” Raiola said. “He can’t go out there and make plays and do everything that he’s coaching us to do so, as players, as the quarterback of this offense, I take the responsibility for that and for us to go out there and execute, that’s not his fault.”

Raiola’s response came when he was asked about his comfort and the offense’s ability to push the ball downfield.
