Missing Mississippi teen found safe in Bella Vista; suspect in custody

RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV /KNWA/KFTA) — A 16-year-old from Mississippi has been found safe in Bella Vista and a man has been arrested, according to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators said Kaleb James Cannady, 34, will face extradition back to Rankin County on charges of enticement and kidnapping.

Investigators said they discovered that the teen had been lured online to meet with someone down the road from the home.

Authorities identified the suspect as Cannady and a Be On the Look Out (B.O.L.O.) was issued for Cannady’s vehicle.

Investigators said the vehicle was located around 7:17 p.m. on Oct. 28 in Bella Vista by Arkansas State Police and the Bella Vista Police Department.

Cannady was arrested for active warrants through the Rankin County Court. Deputies said the teen was found safe and in the custody of Arkansas State Police.

Investigators said there is no evidence to indicate foul play at this time. They said the teen’s family was worried about his safety.
