If you see someone in an inflatable T-Rex costume running through Wilsonville on Wednesday evening, they may be part of a Halloween pub run.
A Wilsonville running group will hold its first Halloween Pub Costume Crawl on Wednesday, Oct. 30, and participants are encouraged to wear inflatable costumes. Group member Megan Fisk said in an email that they will meet at Canton Phoenix at 6 p.m., then run to Boones Junction and Wanker’s Corner before returning to the starting point. Fisk said the group may stop at McMenamins as well.
The group, which began about two years ago, normally runs a three-mile route and members can socialize over a drink afterward. For the Halloween run, the group will stop at each location.
The running group has a Facebook page, titled Wilsonville Pub Run, where interested community members can learn more about it. Fisk said those interested in joining the Halloween run can simply “show up.”
“It’s the first of its kind. We have never done anything like this before,” Fisk said. “We just thought it would be a fun thing for us and fun for people that might see us on the road, all dressed up running, and maybe be like ‘Hey, what is that? Maybe I want to be a part of something like that.’”
