The man who killed an elderly couple in their rural Lodi home nearly four years ago was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, prosecutors announced Tuesday.
Christopher Lee Holland, 57, of Lodi, was convicted in September of two counts of first-degree murder in the killings of 77-year-old James Reiswig and 76-year-old Mary Reiswig, the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office said.
Holland was also found guilty of two counts of first-degree robbery and one count of first-degree burglary.
“Today’s life sentence reflects my office’s duty to hold violent offenders fully accountable,” District Attorney Ron Freitas said. “Though no sentence can truly ease the pain felt by those who loved James and Mary, we hope this brings a measure of peace to their family and our community. Our hearts remain with the Reiswig family as they continue to mourn this unimaginable loss.”
Holland was arrested on Dec. 18, 2020, a day after the Reiswigs were found dead in their hom e in the 5000 block of West Kingdon Road in Lodi. They were found shortly after 8 a.m. on Dec. 17, 2020 by a grandchild, who called authorities.
