BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a man who died due the acute methamphetamine toxicity and exposure to heat.
Officials said Israel Douglas Winterowd, 49, of Bakersfield was found on Desert Trail just west of Mocal Road and Fellows on Sept. 17 around 1:10 p.m.
The cause of Winterowd’s death was determined to be acute methamphetamine toxicity and exposure to extreme heat contributed to his death, the coroner’s office stated.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this case.
