The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Alaska announced Tuesday that 10 individuals are facing charges across three indictments, stemming from their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking organization operating in Anchorage.
According to the department, Rodney Godwin, 50, is identified as the alleged leader of this organization, which is accused of distributing significant quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, and other controlled substances across Alaska from April 2023 to May 2024.
Court documents indicate that members of this organization, including Jeremy Nichols, 40, and Reigna Archuleta, 39, allegedly used firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking activities.
On Nov. 13, 2023, Nichols reportedly possessed a firearm related to drug trafficking, while on May 31, 2024, Archuleta allegedly carried a firearm in connection with these activities.
According to the department, Archuleta also attempted to smuggle approximately $21,000 in cash through Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport on a flight to Seattle with Godwin; the cash was seized by security personnel.
