YDR and other York journalists to be inducted into NewsMedia association Hall of Fame

Current and former journalists who have worked in York County will be inducted into the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association Hall of Fame.

The nonprofit trade association will be inducting 100 new members into its Hall of Fame on Nov. 14 in Hershey. The honorees have “distinguished themselves through their positive impact on the mission of PNA, the PNA Foundation and/or MANSI Media through personal, professional and financial contributions,” a news release states.

The induction into the Hall of Fame will be part of the association’s 100th Anniversary Gala celebration, the release states.

The York Daily Record/Sunday News has four journalists being inducted — one of the few publications with the most honorees.

The inductees who have worked in the York market include:

John J. Curley – Gannett Co., Inc.

Sara Glines – York Daily Record/Sunday News

Dennis R. Hetzel – York Daily Record/Sunday News
