Sketch shows suspect who wrestled with resident in Staten Island home invasion

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released a sketch Wednesday of one of two suspects in a botched Staten Island home invasion that ended in a struggle between the duo and a resident.

The burglars entered a home in the area of Clove Road and Victory Boulevard in Sunnyside around 5 a.m. Friday, police said.

Once inside, they pulled a firearm on two residents, a 36-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman, according to police.

That led to a struggle between the suspects and the man, who managed to fend them off, suffering minor injuries in the scuffle.

The pair was last seen headed northbound on Victory Boulevard, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
