When the sun will rise and set in Denver after daylight saving time ends

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Temperatures are cooling down in Denver weather and the days are getting shorter by a couple of minutes each day. Next week, the sun will be setting before 5 p.m.

The sun is setting earlier each day as fall ends and winter approaches.

Wednesday is the last day that the sun will set in the 6 p.m. hour this year, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration . In fact, the sun won’t set after 6 p.m. again until March 2025.

On Thursday, Halloween, the sun will rise at 7:28 a.m. and set at 5:58 p.m. Then, over the weekend, daylight saving time will end, after which the sun will set before 5 p.m. each day until mid-January.

On Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 a.m., daylight saving time ends for the year and clocks will be set back one hour. The sun will rise that day at 6:32 a.m. and set at 4:55 p.m., according to NOAA, leaving Denver with 10 hours and 23 minutes of daylight.

The sun will continue to set about a minute earlier each day. By the end of November, the sun will be up for about 9 hours and 36 minutes, rising at 7 a.m. and setting at 4:36 p.m.
