KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Dozens of people gathered for a Mike Rogers rally in West Michigan Wednesday night.
The candidate for Michigan’s open U.S. Senator seat made a stop in Portage at the Kalamazoo GOP headquarters. Rogers talked about the economy, the border and urged people to vote.
“We talk about all those issues around the state. We are going into non-traditional Republican neighborhoods and we are having conversations. And what we are doing is showing up with solutions,” he said.
Liz Cheney endorses Slotkin, Lindsey Graham backs Rogers
Elissa Slotkin was on the other side of the state in Wayne County at the United Auto Workers Region 1A Conference.
“This room knows exactly what’s at stake and is fired up to protect our middle class and bring good-paying union jobs back to Michigan,” Slotkin wrote on social media .
In the race for U.S. Senate, our most recent poll from the Emerson Polling College and The Hill said 49% of voters would vote for Elissa Slotkin and 44% for Rogers. About 8% remained undecided.
