One of Alabama’s leading scientific institutions presented a new award Wednesday to the state’s top official for conservation and natural resources. Chris Blankenship, commissioner of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), said he was thrilled to be the inaugural recipient of the Dauphin Island Sea Lab Foundation’s Sessions-Brown Conservation Leadership Award.
