HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Following a lengthy federal investigation led to the arrest of 19 Daviess County residents in August , Owensboro Police say new charges have been added and an additional arrest has been made.
OPD says William Stewart was taken into custody Wednesday morning in connection to the federal drug investigation. They say a search warrant was executed and Stewart was charged with Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.
Authorities says so far 96 separate federal charges have been handed out, 280 pounds of Methamphetamine, 26 pounds of cocaine, a large quantity of fentanyl pills, 34 guns, including a fully automatic Glock and $340,000 in cash has been seized.
Additional charges included Distribution of Methamphetamine, Distribution of Fentanyl, and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person/Furtherance of Drug Trafficking.
