OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) –The Center of Owensboro- Daviess County is taking orders for free PPE equipment, medical supplies, and hygiene items until Thursday at 3 p.m.. The application is open to non-profits, schools, shelters and hospitals.
Organizations can request their items online at this link .
Donations can be equipment that is left unused but forced to be thrown out after it is opened.
Federal drug investigation suspects face new charges in Daviess County
Officials say they hope that the free supplies allows organizations to invest more into their programming. The Center says they host around 3 drop-offs each year.
On Wednesday afternoon, 21 organizations had already submitted an application.
“This actually could be a record-setting pickup for us this month. Typically, it is in the 12 to15 range. We have more organizations who have been reaching out this morning. So,we’re looking forward to probably our biggest drop off yet,” says Erica Wade, the Executive Director of The Center of Owensboro-Daviess County.
