PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority said that the East Side Tunnel in Providence is officially reopening for bus service on Oct. 31. “It really helps us navigate the hills and the steep inclines, RIPTA CEO Chris Durand said. “This is one of the few dedicated right of ways where only RIPTA can go through.”
