The Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1T) is, more often than not, an international showcase, validating the “World” in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. It’s been dominated by horses shipping in from overseas ever since its first running as part of the premiere Breeders’ Cup at Hollywood Park in 1984. Foreign invaders have won eight of the last 10 editions of this grade 1 stakes and it’s a good bet one of the seven entered among a field of 13 will do so this year as well Saturday at Del Mar.
