Oklahoma man saves his home during wildfire

LINCOLN COUNTY, Okla. ( KFOR ) – Wildfires have ravaged part of Oklahoma in recent days with evacuations being ordered in multiple areas on Tuesday, including near Wellston. The flames spread far, wide and fast with dry conditions and high winds not helping matters at all.

“The wind was going northeast and then it just switched and I mean, it was just a line of fire coming at us,” Riley Fish said.

Fish was one of many residents in the are near Highway 102 and 122nd Street south of Wellston. His home was in the path of danger.

Surveillance video from his home shows the fire quickly approaching. NewsNation affiliate KFOR even caught a cat calmly watching the chaos unfold.

Fish said the family was told they needed to evacuate.
