MADISON, Wis. — A man suspected of shooting another man at a DeForest campground earlier this month was in custody Thursday morning.
Online records show Mycah Riggins, 33, of Madison was booked into the Dane County Jail just after 1 a.m. on Thursday. He is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Those charges stem from an Oct. 20 shooting at the Madison Campground, located at 859 County Highway V in DeForest.
Police allege Riggins fired a pistol several times during an argument, hitting another man in the lower body. The man’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Prior to the shooting, Riggins was charged with flee/eluding an officer and resisting or obstructing an officer and a warrant for his arrest was issued on Oct. 17.
