Legendary Boulder Restaurant Honors CU Super Fan Peggy

In the heart of Boulder, where countless University of Colorado memories live, Peggy Coppom, one of CU’s most cherished superfans, was honored in a way few others ever have been. Boulder’s legendary eatery, The Sink , unveiled a mural immortalizing Peggy and her twin sister, Betty, on its iconic wall, a tribute to their unwavering support for the CU Buffaloes.

“I am happy, but I am crying too because Betty’s not here to enjoy all this,” Peggy shared, visibly moved. With family and friends surrounding her, she signed the mural, writing “CU Twins” — a nod to the name that the sisters became known by.

An Unmatched Legacy

Peggy and Betty, lifelong fans, have been fixtures at CU games and events. Even though Betty passed away in 2020, their dedication to the Buffs remains legendary, inspiring generations of fans.

A Milestone for Both

As Peggy approaches her 100th birthday and The Sink celebrates over a century, this mural embodies their shared history in Boulder, a testament to their role in CU’s story.
