Veteran, Club Q hero hosts Get Out the Vote rally

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Richard Fierro, one of the people who bravely helped subdue the gunman at the 2022 Club Q shooting, hosted a Get Out the Vote rally on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The rally was hosted by Fierro at Atrevida Beer Company, which he owns and operates with his wife and brewer, Jess. The rally was attended by other veterans as well as state and local elected officials, including Senator Michael Bennett, and aimed to energize the Colorado Springs military and veteran community to vote early for Vice President Kamala Harris, Governor Tim Walz, and Democrats up and down the ballot.

On Wednesday, Fierro urged everyone to make their voices heard this election, no matter your affiliation.

“My single vote matters, and so I take that to heart. And, you know, I fought a war for us to do this, to continue to do this. And this Constitution,” said Fierro. “So for me, it’s about making sure folks have the ability to vote and get out there and vote. That’s it. I don’t care who you vote for. I just want you to vote.”
