TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) – The American Automobile Association said that Texas’s statewide average gas price of $2.68 is the lowest in the country for Halloween week.

That price represents a 3 cent drop from last week and a 28 cent drop from this time last year but AAA said that’s no cause for concern.
“There’s nothing spooky about Texas gas prices this Halloween,” said Daniel Armbruster, a AAA Texas spokesperson. “Texas has the lowest gas price average in the country and prices could sink even lower in the days to come.”
According to AAA, drivers in El Paso are paying the most in the state at $2.90 per gallon and drivers in Laredo are paying the least at $2.49 per gallon.
