ERIE, PA – The temperatures have been skyrocketing lately! After smashing the record highs on Tuesday and Wednesday, we are not done yet!
The warmest Halloween on record was 76 degrees back in 1927! We’re forecasting a high near 80 degrees today, which is typical for July! This would be not only the warmest Halloween in nearly a century but the warmest Halloween on record in Erie!
As for the trick-or-treaters out and about this evening, temperatures will be in the low 70s with a chance for a few rain showers as the evening progresses. Outside of any spotty light showers, it will be warm and windy.
A powerful cold front brings an abrupt ending to this weirdly warm late October weather, and the cold front is currently slicing through the Great Lakes. Expect showers, breezy, and much cooler weather by Friday morning.
As November arrives on Friday, it will be sharply colder with slowly falling temperatures through the day, with a strong westerly wind.
