HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The Morganfield Police Department is investigating claims made by a Tri-State woman who says she found a needle in a candy bar.
A post on Facebook says the woman purchased the candy at a store and did not get the candy while trick or treating. The post containing a picture of a needle next to a piece of candy caught the attention of the Morganfield Police.
An officer went to the store where the candy was purchased. He told Eyewitness News he inspected similar candy on the shelves. The officer says he was not able to find anything wrong with the candy.
The officer went on to say that the store took all the candy where the chocolate was bought off of the shelves. He also said this was an isolated incident, and no other reports of needles were found.
