A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Anchorage and the surrounding areas effective until 7 a.m. Friday. Total snow accumulations from 5 to 10 inches can be expected. As of 4 p.m. there were reports of 3 to 8 inches of snow. Over 6 inches measured at the NWS Anchorage office.
