Colonie police identify alleged Trustco bank robber

COLONIE, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Colonie Police Department has identified the man suspected of robbing a Trustco Bank in Latham on Wednesday. The suspect was captured with the help of K-9 Officer Eddie .

Christian Aquino, 18, of Saratoga, allegedly entered the bank wearing a mask, pointed a gun at the teller, and demanded money. He then fled on foot. Police said K-9 Eddie found Aquino in a nearby wooded area with the stolen cash.

Charges

  • First-degree robbery (felony)
  • Second-degree grand larceny (felony)
  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (misdemeanor)

Schenectady man arrested following Thruway pursuit
