HOUSTON (KIAH) — If you tuned in on Thursday or if you were driving about on early Halloween morning, you may have noticed how busy the roads were. Thankfully on Friday, road conditions are much calmer with few accidents and only a couple breakdowns and obstructions as of 6:52 a.m.
If you planned anything for the family this weekend, there are a few weekend closures to be aware of:
- Westbound Frontage Road from Pin Oa to FM-1468 in Katy-One outside lane affected 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today
- Eastbound from Brazos River/Waller-Austin County- One alternate lane closed 8:30 a.m.-5 a.m. through November 5th
Current ongoing accidents as of 7 a.m. are the following:
- I-610 South Loop Eastbound at Broadway Street: Heavy truck accident impacting the right shoulder and right lane.
- I-10 Katy Eastbound At I-610 West Loop/ US 290 Direct Connect: Heavy truck accident impacting the left and right interchange ramps.
- All mainlanes closed on I-10 Katy Eastbound at North Post Oak Road due to another heavy truck incident.
