Nashville police arrest two suspects wanted out of Memphis

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) apprehended two suspects wanted out of Memphis on Friday.

In a press release, the MNPD said that after several hours of surveillance on Friday evening, detectives were able to confirm that the two men were in Nashville. Authorities surrounded a short-term rental on Fitzgerald Drive in Donelson and made announcements as to their presence.

Kaimon Carwell, 23, came out of the short-term rental. Carwell is wanted on charges including:

  • Attempted first-degree murder
  • Gun possession with intent to commit a felony
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Aggravated assault
  • Aggravated burglary
  • Theft
  • Felony drug possession

Twenty-year-old Marvin Roper was found hiding in the attic of the short-term rental. Roper is wanted on charges including:

  • Evading arrest
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Felony theft
  • Vehicle burglary
  • Gun theft
  • Reckless driving
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Vandalism
  • Burglary
  • Intent to evade with risk of death
  • Extortion
