A political action committee that has bankrolled the recall campaign against Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao came out this week against marriage equality. Foundational Oakland Unites, a committee set up in February to pay for signature gathering to get the recall measure on the ballot mailed a “Common Sense Voter Guide” to Oakland residents this week encouraging voters to support safer streets, public safety, and accountability.
