Storm Center PM Update: More rain over the weekend

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It was a quiet morning for most of us, but in northeastern KELOLAND, all types of precipitation occurred as temperatures ranged from near to above freezing. The low-pressure system and precipitation will continue to move into Minnesota going into the rest of the afternoon.

Precipitation totals stayed on the lighter side, but any precipitation was welcomed for this area. In the Aberdeen area, the rain from today was almost the same amount as the whole month of October, which was 0.07″. For Mobridge, this amount of rain was something that has not been seen recently, their totals from today is 5 times more than September and October’s totals combined!

Skies dry out for everyone going into tonight with lows staying seasonable and winds staying light. With the precipitation in north-central and eastern South Dakota, fog could be possible tomorrow morning for that area.

Temperatures will be above-average tomorrow with highs in the 50s and 60s. A ridge building in the southern United States will help to bring a warm up to our area and a chance for light showers. More moisture moves in with a trough off to our west, bringing widespread rain to KELOLAND and the southern part of the country.
