SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The New York State Department of Transportation wants to alert drivers that beginning Monday, Nov. 4 Interstate 481 North will be closed to traffic between exit 16A and the on-ramp to I-481 North from Rock Cut Road in Syracuse.

The closure will run from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Monday through Friday, Nov. 8, and is necessary to facilitate the setting of steel on the new East Brighton Avenue bridge as part of the I-81 Viaduct Project, the NYSDOT said.
Drivers are asked to follow posted detours that will direct traffic to I-81 north, to Exit 17 (South Salina St/Brighton Ave), to west on East Calthrop Avenue, to north on South Salina Street, to south on East Brighton Avenue, to east on Rock Cut Road, to I-481 northbound.
