Viewer Question: What’s being built behind the Dunkin’ off Route 57 in Salina?
The viewer noticed a large lot of land being cleared and trees being removed.
This is going to be a new housing community, called Glen View. Home builder, Eldan Homes is building the project.
The company’s owner and president, Dan Barnaba, said the plan is to build 38 single and two-family homes.
Barnaba described the two-family homes as unique to the area. He said they won’t be townhomes, which most people think of when they hear two-family housing. He said it will be a two-floor home, with the primary residence on the second floor. Barnaba described the second living unit in the home as a potential in-law suite or perfect for a family with an adult child, or space that could be used as a rental unit.
Barnaba believes the type of two-family home his company will build, is a need in the Central New York community.
