TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — It has been several weeks since Hurricanes Helene and Milton slammed into Florida, causing devastation around Tampa Bay.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is continuing to provide aid to residents impacted by these storms, providing Disaster Survivor Assistance crews in local neighborhoods.
As of Nov. 1, FEMA reported that they have approved more than $818.7 million to help Floridians who suffered losses from the hurricanes.

In a breakdown of recovery assistance, $320.1 million was approved for Milton, $452.9 million for Helene, and $45.7 million for Debby, which hit in early August.
The DSA crews help residents apply for FEMA assistance, as local officials continue to canvass impacted areas for damaged structures.
FEMA also reported that 13,303 households, with 32,523 residents are checked into hotels and motels for Transitional Sheltering Assitance .
