Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan ’s family is recovering after a car crash at his Madame ZuZu’s Teashop in Chicago.
“We’re at orthopedics [with my] mom. We’re giving you a little update because I haven’t come on TikTok in a while. So, there was an accident at ZuZu’s,” the singer’s wife, Chloe Mendel Corgan , said in a Friday, November 1, social media video . “Unfortunately, a car drove in, hit the banquette that my mom and my son were sitting at. They were impacted.”
She continued, “Luckily, everyone is going to be OK , but what a shock. … I’m figuring this all out too as a child, mother, business owner and boss.”
Billy, 57, and Chloe, 32, got married in September 2023. Together, they share son Augustus, 8, and daughter Philomena, 5. Chloe announced in August that she is pregnant with baby No. 3.

News broke on Wednesday, October 30, that a car had crashed into the side of the ZuZu’s café. Chloe, in her social media upload, praised her “great” staffers “in handling an emergency and making sure we could open efficiently.”
