Anthony Berry, a 20-year-old, was among six people shot in Orlando on Halloween. The incident occurred when a 17-year-old gunman fired into a crowd.

Berry’s life was almost cut short, as the bullet missed his head by just a few centimeters. Two people were killed in the shooting, while a 26-year-old woman was trampled in the ensuing chaos.

Berry, who aspires to become a nurse, had initially planned to stay home to study but decided to celebrate Halloween with friends. A confrontation between two men quickly escalated, leading to the shooting.

Berry witnessed the suspect making a hand motion before ducking down, narrowly avoiding the bullet that struck his head. He suffered a severe wound but managed to escape and seek medical attention.

The suspect, Jaylen Dwayne Edgar, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder and attempted murder. Surveillance footage shows him firing into the crowd before being apprehended by police.

Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith praised the officers’ swift response, noting that they quickly identified and detained the suspect despite the large Halloween crowd. Edgar is likely to be charged as an adult as the investigation continues.
