SPFD: 1 person transported after ‘unknown odor’ at Sunland Park store

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — An “unknown odor” caused one person to be transported to a hospital for evaluation on Friday night, Nov. 1, according to the Sunland Park Fire Department (SPFD).

SPFD was dispatched at around 6:30 p.m. Friday to a Family Dollar store at 1673 McNutt Rd., in response to a call of an “unknown odor,” the department said on their X account.

It was then determined that a refrigeration malfunction caused the odor, SPFD said.

According to SPFD, one person was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and two other patients refused to be transported.
