UPDATE: A 19-year-old man has died after an ATV crash on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2 in East El Paso County, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials said.
They identified the man as 19-year-old Alfredo Federico.
According to EPCSO, an ATV “incident” happened at roughly 11 a.m. on Saturday in the desert area at the 1200 block of Mitchell Dr.
“The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are investigating potential factors such as speed, terrain conditions, and equipment issues that may have contributed to the accident,” EPCSO said.
The Sheriff’s Office did not say initially say if there were any injuries.
EPCSO also said they want to remind the public to always wear helmets and protective gear when using an ATV and to adhere to all safety regulations.
